CURRENT STATE OF POETRY SLAM BOOK 2 (info)

Current State Presentations in partnership with the Joburg Theatre Youth Development and MoArts present the Current State of Poetry Slam Book 2.

Poetry Dot Slam is aimed to develop and promote a sustainable poetry industry through writing, performance and administration workshops. The title was taken by Western Cape’s Ashley Makue who will be representing South Africa at the Women Of The World Poetry Slam 2017 happening in Dallas, TX, USA on March 18-27.

The CSP Slam consists of two segments The Open Slam: 12 poets selected from the workshops will battle it out in a 4 round slam and a step closer to a slot in the S.A. National Slam as prizes.

In September 2017 the finals were held as part of the Arts Alive programme, thanks to Roshnie Moonsammy. The winner, Zewande BK. Bhengu, will be representing South Africa at the World Cup of Poetry in Paris, France on June 2017.
