Women in Comedy was established 9 years ago by Nonto R with an effort to create a platform that will allow new up and coming female comedians to show case their craft. On the 27th of April 2025 Women in Comedy will for the 3rd time be coming to Joburg.

Nonto R is once again bringing what has now become our biannual Johannesburg Woman in Comedy All Stars event for a night of magical laughter with unforgettable memories. This will truly be a star filled NOT TO BE MISSED event. Nonto R has been a growing force in the vernacular (Zulu) comedy scene for a few years. In early 2018, she burst onto the English comedy scene by taking first place at ‘Kill Or Die’ (On Fire’s quarterly development platform for up-and-coming comedians) and has been on the rise ever since. As her birthday extravaganza approaches come join Nonto R who will be hosting Skhumba, Dawn Thandeka King, Tsitsi Chiumya, Justice Kubheka, Abuti Lolo, Siyanda Maphumulo and Nkukza – Definitely an All-Stars Night!
