South African gospel artist Ronnie L. Mulaudzi is a man of two worlds — the boardroom and the sanctuary — and RABELA: Celebrating A Decade of Grace is the story of how God shaped both.
Born and raised in Venda, Limpopo, Ronnie’s relationship with music began at age 13 when he sang his first public solo at a youth talent evening: eyes closed, facing away from the audience and received a standing ovation he could not see coming. That single moment planted a seed that would take a decade to fully bloom.
In November 2015, Ronnie launched his professional gospel music career with a sold-out concert at the World of Yamaha, produced entirely independently. His debut EP, Nne Ndi Lila (2016), earned two INGOMA Award nominations. His debut album, A Call to Love (2019), won both the Tshivenda Music Award for Best Newcomer and the Crown Gospel Music Award for Best Gospel R&B Track. His second album, Rabela: A Journey of Restoration (2024), drew from Philippians 4:6 and 1 Thessalonians 5:16– 18, taking listeners through prayer, hope after loss, God’s sovereignty, grace and restoration.
Alongside his music, Ronnie has built a substantial media presence. As host of The Rhythm of Praise on Kofifi FM 97.2 Sunday mornings from 06:00 to 08:00 reaching over thousands of listeners every week. He has appeared on SABC 1, SABC 2, TBN Africa, One Gospel and Morning Live, and has performed across South Africa and the SADC region with collaborators including Brian Temba, Nqubeko Mbatha, Takie Ndou, Choko, Dudu Makhoba, Judith Sephuma, the Johannesburg Festival Orchestra and many more. He also serves as Master of Ceremonies for various events.
RABELA: Celebrating A Decade of Grace brings all of this together on one stage, for one night, at The Lesedi, Joburg Theatre. The programme unfolds in two acts: Set 1 Love | Grace | Hope, and Set 2 Resilience | Restoration | Victory. Ronnie turns 42 on 3 July 2026, the eve of the concert, making this weekend a profound convergence of personal milestone and public ministry.
