The World Sound Concert will be held at the Joburg Theatre from 15 to 18 August 2019, following the successful inaugural event held at the Soweto Theatre on the 1st of March. The concert is produced by Soundbag Entertainment under the direction of David Lephoto and it promotes a variety of music genres such as Jazz, Afro-Soul, World Music, Ethnic, New Age and Contemporary Traditional styles. All the artists and bands will bring their full band complement to perform beautiful live music.

The concert will be run over four days in the evening with all performances starting at 20H00 except Sunday the 18th performances, which will start at 15H00 in the afternoon. Each day will have two different artists or bands performing for a maximum of one hour with a 20 minutes interval in between the performances. The artists and bands have been carefully chosen in order to bring a quality entertainment experience for the audience to fully enjoy the aesthetics of live music performance. The performances are scheduled as follows;

THURSDAY – 15 AUGUST 2019: Pri Hollis & Thuli Kama (20H00),
FRIDAY – 15 AUGUST 2019: PG_13 & Children of the Sun (20H00),
SATURDAY – 15 AUGUST 2019: Zuko & Zan Dlamini (20H00),
SUNDAY – 15 AUGUST 2019: Tshele Tsoerenyane & uMbaqanga weBlues (15H00).

Tickets are reasonably priced at R120 per day of performances. The audience will enjoy the concert in a safe and relaxed environment. Safe parking for cars is available with very strong security provided by the Joburg Theatre. The theatre runs the cash bar and also has a restaurant for patrons who want to buy refreshments.
